Eyüp Stadium

Eyüpspor's ground sits in the İslambey neighbourhood, on a plot the district has used for football long enough that people around it call the place a hundred years old. The work was not cosmetic. It opened again on 18 January 2020, by then built to UEFA standards.

The rebuild kept the ground small — roughly 2,500 seats, natural grass — and that is the reason the stadium's recent history has been odd. So the club has played its Süper Lig football elsewhere, at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium and at Pendik, while the home ground carried on as the address on the paperwork.

There is a further wrinkle in the naming.

Before the closure, and after it, the fixtures here were the ordinary business of the TFF First League and the TFF Second League . No finals, no concerts.
