Firhill Stadium
The land came from a railway company. After the shipyards pushed Партик Тисл off Meadowside in 1908, the club bought a plot from Caledonian Railway for £5,500, and the ground opened the following year.
Nobody recorded who designed the original stadium. The club's own record came earlier, in February 1922 against Рейнджерс , when 49,838 got in.
Football has never had the place to itself. In the 1955/56 season the ground staged Glasgow's first European Cup tie, Хиберниан against Юргорден . It took matches at the 2000 Rugby League World Cup , then housed Глазго Уорриорз from 2007 to 2012.
The pitch is natural grass, with undersoil heating fitted in 1994 and the surface fully relaid in 2022.
The name has moved with the sponsors: The Energy Check Stadium at Firhill from 2017, Wyre Stadium at Firhill from 2023, and WrightKerr Stadium at Firhill since August 2026. The Firhill part has stayed put.
