Fram Stadion
Larvik, Norway
Fram Stadion, commonly referred to as Framparken, sits at the end of Hoffs gate in Larvik. The ground has been defined by its recent rebuild, which replaced the old main stand with a new structure completed in 2020. That renovation reset the understanding of the venue’s size, with the Norwegian Football Federation’s Nordic Stadiums database settling on a total capacity of 2,500, of which 1,058 are seated. Previous estimates from Transfermarkt and Europlan suggested a capacity of 5,000, but that figure likely belongs to the era before the rebuild.
What remains is the pitch itself, which is covered by artificial turf. A grant application from the Vestfold og Telemark county municipality confirms the surface as “Fram parken Kunsgressbane,” a translation that simply means Fram Park Artificial Grass Field. The playing surface is synthetic.
The stadium’s history before the 2019 to 2020 renovation period is not fully documented in the available records. The original opening year is not found, nor is the identity of the architect. What is known is that the venue has hosted matches in the Norwegian Football Cup, including a 2021 fixture against Odd that drew 800 spectators. It has also been used for public viewing of the 2026 FIFA World Cup quarter-final between Norway and England. There is no official record of the highest single-match attendance, but the capacity is now firmly anchored to the post-renovation figure of 2,500.
