Fusha Sportive 2 Korriku

The name is the first thing to explain. Fusha Sportive 2 Korriku takes it from a date — 2 July, the day the first Republic of Kosovo was declared — and so does the club that plays there. That club was founded in 1957 as Proleteri and only became 2 Korriku in 1990.

It is a small place on Rruga Toni Bleri in Приштина, with room for around a thousand. The 1996 Kosovo Cup remains the club's one senior trophy. Since 1990 the academy has been the more consistent output: Эрит Берриша, Ардиан Исмайли and Лабинот Халити all came through it, and in 2021 the club signed a partnership with Бешикташ in Turkey.

That youth work is what brings visitors. In recent seasons the ground has hosted UEFA Youth League ties, with sides from Albania, Ireland, Ukraine and Scotland travelling to a venue. The teams that did not travel to make up the numbers did not score away, but did not concede either.

The address is easy enough to reach; no district name is attached to it in the records. Little else about the fabric of the place is documented — the ground is known through the club it belongs to and the players who left it.
