Futbalové ihrisko Ladce
Ladce's ground has moved twice before settling. The club's first pitch went in at 1930 beside the Váh, put up with backing from the local cement works, Považská cementáreň. Two years on, work on a hydroelectric station forced the pitch out; it shifted to the village centre, near the railway halt, on ground now covered by blocks of flats. The third move, in 1938, put the pitch where it still sits, alongside the rail line, and that year counts as the ground's founding date rather than the club's.
Capacity estimates disagree, running from 500 up to 1,200.
One mix-up is worth clearing up for anyone searching further: a stadium bearing Milan Janek's name has nothing to do with Ladce. That ground belongs to Liptovský Mikuláš, home of MFK Tatran Liptovský Mikuláš.
