Gabala City Stadium
The ground began as a factory asset. Built in 1985 for the workers of the local tobacco plant, it was laid out on six hectares in a town that still went by Kutkashen — the name changed to Gabala in March 1991, and the stadium's own name changed with it.
For its first two decades it was what a factory ground usually is: terracing, a pitch. The rebuild came between 2005 and 2007, and it was two thousand plastic seats, new stands, new dressing rooms. That is the version standing today, a natural grass pitch on E. Kərimov küçəsi with room for roughly four and a half thousand.
A far larger scheme surfaced in 2012, when plans were drawn up to take the capacity to 15,000. It was never carried through. The town's music festivals take place elsewhere.
