Gadelandet

The ground sits in Husum, on a street that only came into being around 1948, when the northern end of the old village of Husum was cleared away and Voldparken went up in its place. The pitch is part of that same rearrangement of the neighbourhood — a local sports facility laid into a district being rebuilt around it.

Its best-known tenant left half a century ago. Brønshøj Boldklub played here in its early years before moving to Tingbjerg Idrætspark in 1976; the club's Danish League Cup win in 1982 and its run to the Danish Cup semi-finals in 1984 belong to the other ground, not this one. What Gadelandet kept was Boldklubben FIX, founded in 1924, for whom it remains home.

There are no floodlights, which shapes what the ground can host: matches finish while the daylight lasts. The playing surface is natural grass. The thousand places are enough for the level involved — lower-division Danish football and youth fixtures, week in and week out, with no national final or international fixture on the record and no attendance mark anyone has written down.

The name has not changed. In every record it is Gadelandet, or Gadelandet Stadion, at the address it takes that name from. Who built it, who owns it and the year it opened are not set down anywhere that can be checked.
