The structure opened in 1940 and has hosted local games on a natural grass surface that has survived nearly a century of Danish weather.

What distinguishes this place is not its size, but its function. It serves Akademisk Boldklub and Gladsaxe-Hero Boldklub, two clubs that share the turf without fighting for dominance.

Nordic Storm, an American football franchise founded in 2024, also uses the venue.
