The ground in Koprivnica is defined by its split identity.

The current shape of the stadium dates from 1997 , when the western stand was completed to meet the requirements for NK Slaven Belupo’s entry into the First Croatian Football League.

For the 2025 Croatian Football Cup Final, temporary modular stands were erected on the north and south sides, bringing the capacity up to 4,500. Permanent reconstruction is planned for 2027, with full roofing and seating extending the capacity to 8,125.

The stadium has hosted the senior men’s national team once, in a UEFA Europa League match against CSKA Moscow, for which UEFA granted a capacity exception. It has also seen Croatian U-21, U-19 and women’s internationals. The permanent capacity remains 3,134 seats.
