Gradski stadion kraj Sajmišta has stood in the Celine district of Vrbovec since September 1924. The club founded that year, NK Vrbovec, has played there ever since. The site sits at Celine 8. The capacity is cited as 4,000, though the number is often adjusted downward to 3,000 or even 1,500 in matchday reports. The discrepancy matters little.

The stadium’s most recent transformation occurred between 2019 and 2020, when a renovation funded by the Croatian Ministry of Construction and Spatial Planning brought the facility into modern safety standards. The work cost 2.73 million Croatian kuna, roughly €362,000 at the time. The pitch remains natural grass. It is simply the city’s only football venue, and for Vrbovec, that is enough. The first competitive match was played here on September 8, 1924, and the ground has not changed its name since.
