Gradski stadion Vršac

Vršac sits close to the Romanian border, in the Banat plain, and the pitch at Đurđa Smederevca 11 has hosted OFK Vršac since 1948. That makes the ground one of the older venues in this corner of Serbia, opened in the years right after the war and never rebuilt into anything grander — a working club stadium rather than a showcase.

The capacity has stayed modest, holding 5,000, which suits a club that has spent most of its history in the lower and middle tiers of Serbian football rather than chasing top-flight crowds. The natural grass pitch remains the surface of choice, unchanged through the decades, and the ground still functions as the plain, functional home it was built to be.

There is no former name attached to the stadium, no rebrand or sponsor overhaul to track — just the Gradski stadion Vršac, continuously, since it opened. For a club and a town of this size, that kind of continuity is itself the story: no reconstruction for a tournament, no switch of address, just a ground that has kept doing the same job for OFK Vršac since the late 1940s.
