Granja Comary
Teresópolis, Brazil
Formerly: Fazenda Comary, Centro de Treinamento Almirante Heleno Nunes
The complex sits in the Comary neighbourhood of Teresópolis, Rio de Janeiro state, where the Brazilian national teams set up camp. The property is defined less by a single fixture and more by the five pitches that occupy the grounds: four natural grass surfaces and one Act Global artificial turf pitch, which carries FIFA certification. The grandstand, built for media and guests, takes 180 people.
The land was originally part of a farm owned by Orlando Leal Carneiro in the 1950s. The national team used the area for camps as early as 1966. The CBF acquired the property in 1983 and expanded it by purchasing neighbouring plots. The modern centre was officially inaugurated on 31 January 1987, named Centro de Treinamento Almirante Heleno Nunes in honour of the former president.
For the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the complex underwent major renovations costing approximately R$ 15 million, which included rebuilding the pitches, upgrading accommodations to individual suites, and adding new facilities like pools and gyms.
The venue hosts friendlies, press conferences, and special events, such as a 2021 homage match for the pioneers of the women's national team. It does not host official competitive league or cup matches.
