Groupama Stadium (Parc Olympique Lyonnais)

Three names track this stadium's short history: it broke ground as Grand Stade de Lyon, opened under the unofficial banner Stade des Lumières, and became Groupama Stadium only once the insurer's sponsorship deal took effect on 13 July 2017. The first match, on 9 January 2016, was against Troyes.

Vinci Construction built it from open ground in Décines-Charpieu to a design by Populous, with AIA Territoires and Buffi Associés handling the surrounding OL Land landscaping. The build came to €480 million.

Capacity has stood at 59,186 since the first whistle. The record crowd for a league match came on 9 November 2025, when 58,257 saw Lyon go down 2-3 to Paris Saint-Germain.

The European Challenge Cup and Champions Cup finals both landed here in the stadium's opening year, followed by the Coupe de la Ligue final in 2017 and the Europa League final in 2018. Coldplay, the Rolling Stones and Taylor Swift have all played the Groupama Stadium, but the attendance record belongs to Indochine, who filled it for 72,561 on 25 June 2022.
