Guldfageln Arena
Kalmar, Sweden
Formerly: Kalmar Arena
It is a modern addition to Kalmar, one that replaced the old Fredriksskans ground after the club moved on in 2010.
The playing surface sits beneath a layer of hybrid grass, a change made in the summer of 2020 that followed the original natural turf. The space is flexible enough to host concerts for up to 15,000 people on other nights. Local supporters know the place for a specific memory: a match against AIK in November 2018 that drew the largest crowd the stadium has ever seen.
It stands as the home of Kalmar FF, a club that plays in the Allsvenskan, and has hosted international matches, including games during the UEFA Women's Euro 2013. The transition from its former title, Kalmar Arena, to the current name came after the acquisition of naming rights, but the location remains unchanged.
