Hala Koło

Hala Sportowa "Koło" sits in the Wola district. The building presents a low, curved roof with strips of glazing. Inside, the hardwood court measures 44 metres by 29 metres.

The capacity is 1,280, a number set by the mix of 396 fixed seats in the permanent stands and temporary stands placed directly on the floor. This arrangement means the crowd is never far from the action. The venue was designed by Euro Projekt Architekci and opened in 2001, a year that also saw it win an award for the Best Sports Facility. That distinction has lasted, partly because the management modernised the roof, replacing 20 skylight strips with better thermal insulation and smoke flaps.

It is the home for Dziki Warsaw, though the arena itself is known for more than just basketball. It has hosted concerts by King Diamond and Kreator, but utilise the same 1,500-person limit for mass gatherings.
