Hala Kort
Liberec, Czechia
The hall sits quietly in the Horní Růžodol district. It is the older sibling in the Sport Park Liberec complex, standing apart from the Home Credit Arena completed in 2005.
Inside, the space is defined by its small scale. With room for just 60 spectators, the crowd sits close to the action. The surface is a synthetic taraflex floor, laid down to handle basketball and floorball matches. It is a practical surface, worn by decades of local competition.
The hall has seen different faces over the years. It was once the home of BK Kondoři Liberec, a club that played in the National Basketball League between 2006 and 2009 before moving to a different venue. Today, it belongs to BA Lynx Liberecko, a team founded in 2016 that competes in the Czech 1. liga. The shift in tenants has not changed the physical structure; the changing rooms and the gym remain available for rental, serving the community just as they have for years.
There is no grand history to tell here. The construction dates back to the 1970s, with one source pointing to 1977, though official records are vague. It is a local fixture, hosting youth teams and regional finals. It does not hold attendance records that would make headlines. It simply exists, a modest hall where the line has barely moved despite the passing of time.
