Hala Vodova
Brno, Czechia
Formerly: Městská hala Vodova, Městská hala míčových sportů, STAREZ ARÉNA Vodova
Inside, the main hall reveals its dual life.
A different angle shows the hall during a basketball match.
The venue is not a single structure but a complex. The original smaller hall, built between 1969 and 1975, sits alongside the larger expansion from 2000-2001. Both halls share the same natural parquet flooring. The larger hall can seat 2,900 spectators for matches, though it can hold up to 5,500 for standing concerts. It is home to the men’s basketball team PUMPA Basket Brno and the women’s volleyball side VK Královo Pole Brno . The arena has hosted major international events, including the 2010 FIBA World Championship for Women and the 2021 Men’s U-19 World Floorball Championships. The commercial name on the wall now reads STAREZ ARÉNA Vodova .
