The venue in Salon-de-Provence does not announce itself from the outside. The building sits at the end of Chemin de Saint-Côme.

What makes the place stand out is the work done over the last two years. The capacity lifted from 500 to 1,019, bringing in 19 places for people with reduced mobility and an extension that houses a VIP tribune and a small cafe. The architect Paulo Diaz designed the project, which cost 4.5 million euros, with 80 percent of the funding coming from the department. The wooden parquet floor remains the main surface, ready for basketball, though a removable covering sits in the store room for other events.

The club that calls it home, Pays Salonais Basket 13, has played its derbies against Fos Provence Basket here since it formed in 2006. They call it 'le chaudron Salonais', the Salon cauldron. The building also contains a hockey field with a hybrid synthetic surface, transformed in 2003, but the hall itself is for basketball and little else.

The original opening date is not fixed, though the structure was in place by the end of the 1960s.
