Hamdan Bin Rashid Stadium
There is one club here, Hatta Club , and it has never played anywhere else.
The stadium and the club arrived together. The ground opened in 1981, the year the club was founded, and it has served as the home since — no earlier venue, no move, no reconstruction that split its history into a before and an after. The name has not moved either: it has been the Hamdan Bin Rashid Stadium throughout, after Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and for many years the country's Minister of Finance. Grounds in the region tend to accumulate names as sponsors and dedications change; this one has kept the same one for its whole life.
Its scale is the other thing worth knowing. Data listings sometimes confuse it with venues in Al Ain; the fixtures are played in Hatta.
