HaMoshava Stadium
Petah Tikva's ground has no history to lean on — it went up from a clean site after the old Municipal Stadium, standing since 1965, was pulled down in 2010. HaMoshava opened the following year, on 6 December 2011, built by GAB Architects (Goldshmidt Arditty Ben Nayim) as a straight replacement rather than a renovation.
The jump in scale tells its own story: the old ground held 6,768, the new one 11,500, nearly double, and that capacity has stayed untouched since the opening. The natural grass pitch sits at Derech Shlomo Shmaltz 12, in a city that gets folded into Haifa in conversation more often than it should — Sammy Ofer and the former Kiryat Eliezer belong to Haifa, HaMoshava does not, and no amount of repetition changes that.
HaMoshava Stadium is, in the end, a young ground with an old ground's absence behind it — no terraces to point to that predate 2011, just a name carried over from a stadium that no longer stands.
