Hans-Ludwig-Stadion

Formerly: Sportanlage Grünau

The ground on Sportplatzweg is older than the town whose name it now carries. Wals and Siezenheim did not merge into a single municipality until 2005, four decades after the pitch at Grünau was first laid out in 1964 under the name Sportanlage Grünau.

The rebuild came later. The club expanded the site and reopened it on 25 September 1994 under its current name, Hans-Ludwig-Stadion, thirty years after the original ground had been founded on the same spot.

SV Wals-Grünau still play here, on natural grass, in front of a ground that holds 1,800 at capacity. The clubhouse sits at Sportplatzweg 8.
