Hlavní stadion Neratovice

Neratovice is one of those places where the football ground doubles as a mirror of the town's industrial history. The stadium opened its gates on 8 May 1961 with a friendly against Spartak Hradec Králové, who spoiled the party with a 4-1 win, and the club that first called it home, Spolana Neratovice, took its name straight from the local chemical works that shaped the town.

For two decades after that opening, the ground carried genuine weight in Czechoslovak football — the second tier came to town three times, in 1978/79, 1980/81 and 1990/91, and again after the split of the country in 1999-2003. That run ended abruptly in 2003, when Spolana Neratovice merged with SK Kladno and handed over its second-league licence, leaving the stadium to drop back into the lower divisions with it.

What keeps the place current is the pitch itself. Alongside the natural grass surface used by the first team, an artificial third-generation pitch went into service in October 2020, following earlier work that added automatic irrigation in 2011 and a resurfaced running track around the main field in 2016. Little by little, a ground built for one club's rise has been kept fit for whichever side plays there next — today that's FK Neratovice-Byškovice.
