Holbæk Sportsby
Holbæk, Denmark
The new ground in Holbæk does not try to pretend it is something else. The club moved here on June 21, 2019, after 71 years at the old Holbæk Stadion.
The pitch itself is 105m × 68m of natural grass, which is standard, but the surrounds are not. The capacity sits around 1,300 to 1,500 depending on who you ask, and the main stand holds just 320 seats. The attendance record of 1,186 for an exhibition match against the Danish Old Boys National Team in June 2024 suggests that when the right occasion arises, people come.
What distinguishes this place is that it is not just for football. The 2020 Davis Cup World Group II Play-offs were played here on indoor hard courts, and the Copenhagen Philharmonic have performed concerts on the premises. The Årets Idrætsbyggeri 2020 award in February 2020 recognised that ambition.
