Huadu Stadium

Guangzhou has bigger grounds, and for two seasons that was the point. When Guangzhou FC — the club that had won the Chinese Super League eight times as Guangzhou Evergrande — needed a home for 2021 and 2022, it ended up here, in Huadu District. Average attendance in 2021 was 12,210, close to the 13,394 seats the ground holds. In 2022 one fixture was played behind closed doors and supporters watched from the roof of a neighbouring building. The club moved to Yuexiushan Stadium for the 2023 China League One season and was dissolved in January 2025.

The stadium is one part of the Huadu Sports Center, which also contains a gymnasium and a swimming pool, built for roughly 150 million yuan on a project that broke ground in 1993 and did not open until 2001. It is owned by the Huadu District People's Government and run by the local sports bureau; there is no club office here and no official website.

The comprehensive upgrade came in 2009, when the ground was prepared as a football venue for the 16th Asian Games the following year. Since then it has taken in what the city sends it: Guangzhou Phoenix City, formerly Guangzhou R&F, has used it when Tianhe Stadium was unavailable, and Guangzhou Dandelion Alpha of China League Two now plays its home matches on the 105 by 68 metre grass pitch.
