Íþróttamiðstöð Kaplakrika

The pitch at Íþróttamiðstöð Kaplakrika sits next to a track and field arena and a multi-functional arena used for handball and concerts. The site functions as a municipal sports complex rather than a single-purpose ground. Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar (FH) moved here from Hvaleyri when the pitch opened in 1973.

The main stands are simple structures: a concrete piece with a roof on the south side and a slope-based terrace on the north. Grass-covered terracing behind the goals provides standing capacity. The stadium was renovated in 2011, changing the internal configuration of the stands while keeping the basic shape of the bowl. It hosts matches for the Iceland national team and various youth sides, using the same pitch that FH calls home.

The complex includes an indoor football facility named 'Risinn' and the track and field arena opened in 2014. The venue has hosted Icelandic Cup semi-finals, including a 2017 meeting between FH and Leiknir Reykjavík. The natural grass surface plays true. The stadium is situated near the intersection of Lækjargata and Setberg, which helps define its relationship with the town of Hafnarfjörður.
