Čika Dača
The ground carries the nickname of a man rather than a sponsor, and it has done so since it opened. Danilo Stojanović, known to everyone in Šumadija as Čika Dača, brought the region its first football in 1903; the arena in Kragujevac took his name and has never traded it away. In nearly seven decades there has been no rebranding, no corporate prefix.
It was built the slow way. Work started in November 1949 and ran for eight years, carried out by the club itself together with the local community in the Yugoslavia of that period. The official opening followed on 6 June 1957.
The modern chapter is thinner but specific. In 2021 a VAR system went in and the floodlights were upgraded, which brought the ground up to the standard required for Superliga fixtures. A further, smaller refurbishment in 2024 tidied the exterior and touched the lighting again.
Its current role is more modest than that work suggests. With plans for a new stadium suspended, Čika Dača is being used as a training base. The fixtures that were meant to justify the last round of upgrades are, for now, elsewhere.
