J Village Stadium

The J-Village National Training Centre, which Tokyo Electric Power Company opened in 1997 to breathe life into the local economy, has since passed into the hands of the prefecture.

Iwaki FC have played on the natural grass here, though the club’s relationship with the venue is fluid. They used J-Village Stadium for their 2022 J3 campaign, but moved to the adjacent, renamed Hawaiians Stadium Iwaki for their J2 return. The distinction matters; this pitch is not the primary home, but rather a base that has hosted significant moments. It served as the starting point for the domestic leg of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Torch Relay, and hosted the 2024 U-16 International Dream Cup, where Japan secured a victory over Venezuela.

The surface itself receives care, specifically the 'Tifton' grass chosen for summer conditions. It has witnessed the history of Japanese football at various levels.
