The ground sits in the Bali Lake New District, at No. 180 Bali Lake Avenue.
Its football tenancy belongs to Jiangxi Lushan, the club that has also run under the names Jiangxi Liansheng and Jiangxi Beidamen. The connection was closest across the 2016 and 2017 seasons, when the side used the ground through spells in the Chinese League One and League Two. Since then the club has moved its base to the Ruichang Sports Park Stadium and returns here only for the occasional match — league fixtures and FA Cup ties against opponents such as Shaoxing Keqiao Yuejia and Nanjing Yushen.
The stadium opened in 2008 and has carried two other names in that time, Jiujiang Stadium and Bayi Lake Central Sports Field.
The most closely dated event staged here is not football at all. On 31 July 2019 the stadium held the first leg of the Asian Rugby Women's Championship playoff between China and Kazakhstan; China got over the line 13–8. No finals, no concerts of note have followed.
