Joe W. Davis Stadium
Huntsville, United States
Formerly: Huntsville Municipal Stadium (historically), Joe W. Davis Municipal Stadium
Joe W. Lee Builders pulled out the upper deck and converted the diamond into a rectangular pitch, dropping the capacity from roughly 10,000 to 6,000.
The surface is natural Bermudagrass, known locally as Wicks Family Field, and it has held up through the transition. The stadium reopened on May 19, 2023, with Huntsville City FC defeating Crown Legacy FC 2–1 in front of 5,605 spectators.
Before the renovation, the stadium hosted the 1991 Double-A All-Star Game with 4,022 people in attendance. It also saw exhibition matches involving MLS teams. The stadium was originally funded by the City of Huntsville at a cost of $7.6 million and named after Joe W. Davis, the mayor from 1968 to 1988. The 2023 renovation cost between $27.7 and $29 million.
