The Bahlinger SC club, founded in 1929, has called this patch of earth home since before the current surface was laid, though the exact year they first stepped onto the turf remains lost to time.

The playing field is covered in a fourth-generation artificial pitch, a replacement for the previous surface that had served the local side for twelve years. The new turf arrived in October 2025, paid for by the municipality and the Baden Sports Association. The capacity is listed as 4,000, though some external records suggest a slightly higher figure of 4,500; the difference is one of counting, not of scale.

What remains fixed is the memory of a single match against SV Sandhausen in August 2015, when the ground held 3,890 people for a DFB-Pokal tie. The result ended in a goalless draw before penalties, but the crowd has not been larger since. The venue once hosted the Kaiserstuhl-Cup, a pre-season tournament that ran from 1985 to 2019. The stadium was once known as Stadion an der Lehmgrube, a name that refers to the quarry that once occupied the land, but the locals simply call it the Kaiserstuhlstadion.
