Kaurialan kenttä

Kaurialan kenttä has been a fixture in Hämeenlinna since 1938. The venue was pressed into Olympic service in 1952, hosting the mountain-hockey events of that year's Helsinki Games, and it later carried the Finnish athletics championships twice, in 1960 and again in 1988. That second date brought the first serious rebuild, works done specifically to bring the track and field up to the standard the Kalevan Kisat required.

Football arrived as the dominant tenant only later, and the ground has been reshaped around it since — a stand added between 2002 and 2004 brought capacity to roughly 1,500, split between a main grandstand of 1,000 and a smaller B-stand of 500. The pitch has stayed natural grass throughout. A further renovation is pencilled in for 2025–2026, the next chapter in a ground that has rarely stood still for long.

The attendance record still on the books dates to 7 May 2004, when FC Hämeenlinna hosted RoPS and drew 3,283 spectators — more than double the ground's listed capacity. Ownership today sits with the city's Hämeenlinnan Liikuntahallit, which runs the site as a municipal sports facility rather than a single club's home, and FC Hämeenlinna, Hämeenlinnan Härmä and HJS all use it in turn.
