Keuruu Ice Hall

Keuruu, Finland

On the map keuruu.fi

There is a particular kind of cold that settles in the stands of Keuruu Ice Hall , a feeling that has defined the space since it opened in 1995. The air inside the arena often drops to minus ten degrees. A renovation finished in the 2020–21 season modernised the ventilation and heating, but it did not change the seating capacity, which remains at 1,200. The hall is owned by Keuruun jäähalli Oy, a company set up the same year the doors first opened. KeuPa HT has played its home games there since that first season.

The changing rooms are not inside the main hall but in a separate building. The playing surface is artificial ice, maintained year-round under the roof. The arena is now known as Metsä-Multia Areena , a name adopted in September 2023 when the rights were sold.

KeuPa HT reached the Mestis finals in the 2017–18 and 2018–19 seasons, winning the title in 2018 by defeating TUTO Hockey. The hall also hosts Keuruun taiteluistelijat, the local figure skaters, who use the space when the ice is not reserved for the hockey club. The fans are few, but they are consistent, and they know the feeling of the cold.
