Keyworth Stadium sits in Hamtramck with the weight of a different era still on its shoulders. The Works Progress Administration built it in 1936, and President Franklin D. Roosevelt dedicated it himself, making it the first WPA project finished in Michigan.

What makes the ground feel different is the tension between its school days and its football life. Hamtramck Public Schools still own the place.

The crowd figures tell a story of their own.

Senator John F. Now, the club is looking ahead, planning a move to AlumniFi Field, a new 15,000-seat ground expected to open in spring 2028. For now, the team stays here, playing on the artificial turf that covers the old WPA field.
