KFP Minsk Artificial Field
Twenty-two Pobediteley Avenue puts this pitch in Minsk's Central District. KFP Minsk Artificial Field has stayed the latter since 2006.
The synthetic surface is the point of the place. The artificial pitch is what keeps FC Minsk working through them: reserve fixtures for FC Minsk-2, youth matches, and the occasional senior game when one is needed.
The club's arrangement across the city explains why. Since 2015 the first team has had its own ground on Mayakovskogo Street, with roughly 3,050 seats; older still is Stadion Traktor on Vaneeva Street, a 1950s build holding 5,600. The Pobediteley field predates the Mayakovskogo stadium by nine years and absorbed the daily load in the years before it opened — the work that keeps a squad ticking over rather than the fixtures that fill a table.
Little about it is decorative. There is no terracing to speak of, no architectural gesture; the ground exists because a professional club in a northern capital needs a pitch that does not cut up badly in March. On an avenue named for victory, it is the least ceremonial thing on the street.
