KFUM Arena

What changed the arena was promotion. When KFUM Oslo reached the Eliteserien, the stadium had to hold more people than it was designed for, and from 2024 the capacity was temporarily raised to 3,300 — bolted on rather than built in. That ceiling was tested almost immediately. On 28 April 2024, Brann came to Ekeberg and 3,298 spectators got in, a figure that stands as the record and sits two short of everything the ground can offer. The match finished goalless; both goalkeepers had close to nothing to do all evening.

The surface is artificial turf, standard for a Norwegian top-flight ground that must survive a long winter and a short season. Beyond football, the arena has no other life: no concerts, no cup finals, nothing borrowed from the wider events calendar. It exists to get a promoted club through the fixtures it has, on a site it is expected to leave.
