Khalifa Sports City Stadium
Isa Town, Bahrain
The stadium sits quietly within the Khalifa Sports City complex. The 1968 opening predates much of the modern infrastructure surrounding it. The playing surface is natural grass.
The most visible transformation occurred in 2007, when a new main stand was added to the existing frame. The capacity is generally accepted as 15,000.
Al-Najma SC calls this ground home, competing in the Bahraini Premier League. The venue has hosted significant tournaments, including the 1976 Arabian Gulf Cup and the 2016 AFC U-19 Championship.
The name "Isa Town Stadium" is widely used as a descriptive alias based on the city's location, but it is not considered a distinct former official sponsor-based name. The name "Khalifa" refers to the sports complex, not a commercial sponsor.
