Kiryat Gat Municipal Stadium
Kiryat Gat, Israel
The pitch itself was a rectangle of natural grass, marked with white lines that faded in the summer sun.
Maccabi Kiryatgat called this place home for their early years. The club moved out when the stadium was being renovated for the 2014–15 season, playing their matches in Ashkelon instead. They returned, but the ground had changed, and so had the club's fortunes.
There was a match in 1982 that drew more people than the stadium was designed to hold. The visitors from Tel Aviv saw a crowd that stretched beyond the official capacity, with supporters finding spots wherever they could.
The final chapter came quietly. The stadium was torn down in 2022, leaving nothing but a flat area where the pitch used to be.
