The original rink opened in 1972. In 1995 the facility was rebuilt. The City of Frauenfeld funded the work to place a roof over the ice. The club, which dates back to 1946, moved indoors and kept its schedule.
The club plays in the MyHockey League. That is the third tier. The LED lighting upgrade is a quiet change. The building is not a cathedral.
