Langfang Stadium

The ground came out of a list. Langfang put it among the city's ten major engineering projects, and the work was framed as a gift for the 60th anniversary of the People's Republic of China. Ground was broken in October 2006; the doors opened on 13 June 2010, some months after the anniversary itself had passed.

What the money bought is visible from Heping Road: a steel canopy that does not match itself side to side, sitting over walls of clear concrete. The project ran to about 300 million RMB and covers roughly 11.3 hectares in Guangyang District, with 34,000 square metres of building.

Its first real crowd was not a football crowd. On 8 September 2010, three months after opening, the stadium hosted the opening ceremony of the 13th Hebei Provincial Games — athletics before football, which is still how the venue is used.

The football tenancy has changed hands once. Hebei F.C., previously known as Hebei China Fortune, played here from 2018 to 2022. Since 2023 the ground has belonged to Langfang Glory City F.C.

Nothing structural has been altered since the place opened. The canopy, the concrete and the grass are the ones from 2010, and the seats are the count the stadium was handed at the start.
