Latham Park
Newtown A.F.C. plays on plastic, and has done since July 2014, when a FieldTurf Vertex 3G surface with sand and rubber infill went down at Latham Park .
Latham died in 1939; the club's officials and general committee agreed on the ground in the late 1940s and attached his name to it.
The attendance record belongs to a summer date: 28 June 1956, when 5,004 came for a Welsh Cup tie against Swansea City. Nothing since has approached it.
What the ground does draw now is neutral occasions. Eight League of Wales finals have been played here, along with the 2018 Welsh Cup final, in which Connah's Quay Nomads beat Aberystwyth Town 4–1, and a 2025 Nathaniel MG Cup final between Aberystwyth Town and The New Saints. On 13 May 2023 Newtown lost the JD Cymru Premier play-off final to Haverfordwest County on penalties, with a UEFA Conference League place at stake. Newtown's own European nights came earlier — Skonto Riga in 1996, Wisła Kraków in 1998, Valletta in 2014.
