Ledovy Dvorets "Aktobe Arena"
Aktobe, Kazakhstan
The arena sits on 1 Oraz Tateuly Street. It opened in October 2018 after a long quiet spell for the city's winter sports, following a 28-year hiatus in professional hockey. The project was financed largely by a Slovak company, H+H TECHNIKA, which covered the bulk of the cost and supplied the refrigeration units that keep the ice hard beneath the lights.
The seating capacity is 2,500. It is not a vast space, but the stands sit close enough to the rink. The facility serves as the home venue for HC Aktobe, a hockey club founded in 2019 which plays in the Pro Hokei Ligasy. They were the runner-up of the Kazakhstan Cup in 2021.
The surface is artificial ice. Beyond hockey, the hall hosts figure skating, short-track speed skating, concerts, and other cultural events. It has not undergone any name changes since its opening. No official website exists; contact is via Instagram or email. The attendance record is not documented in available sources, so there is no number to pin to the walls.
This venue is distinct from the Central Stadium named after Koblandy Batyr, which holds far more spectators and was renovated several times over the decades. It is also different from the new football stadium under construction nearby, expected to open in 2027 or 2028 with a capacity of 35,000.
