Ülenurme Stadium

For one season, Ülenurme staadion carried more weight than a ground built for 312 spectators usually does. In 2004, JK Merkuur Tartu — the club now known as FA Tartu Kalev — played its Meistriliiga fixtures here, Estonia's top flight arriving at a school's athletics field.

The ground sits within the grounds of Ülenurme Gümnaasium, and that connection to the school has defined it since: athletics meetings, including the schools' athletics cup, share the calendar with football matches. A renovation finished in August 2021 replaced the tartan running track, rebuilt the jumping and throwing sectors and put up new stands, work carried out by Sahkar TT to a design from Landverk.

Since 2019 FA Tartu Kalev has used the pitch as a training base for its youth squad, while EMÜ SK, the club of the Estonian University of Life Sciences, plays its III League matches here on natural grass. No cup finals or concerts have passed through Ülenurme — its calendar has stayed closer to school sport than to matchday crowds, the 2004 season aside.
