Lev HaMoshava Arena
Nes Ziona, Israel
The Lev HaMoshava Arena is tucked inside the grounds of the Eliezer Ben-Yehuda Comprehensive School. It is an indoor hall with air conditioning and television broadcast infrastructure.
The structure has a history that is tied to the ambitions of the local basketball club, Ironi Nes Ziona B.C. When the team first took the court here, the venue offered a single stand with fixed seating for 800 people. It was a modest arrangement, fitting for a club that had not yet reached the top flight. That changed in 2013, when the club secured promotion to the Israeli Premier League. The management decided to upgrade the facility, installing removable stands that increased the capacity to 1,200 spectators. The renovation was a practical response to a sudden rise in status, turning a community hall into a proper sporting arena.
Before the basketball team became the primary tenant, the space also hosted the handball side A.C. Nes Ziona, though that arrangement ended in 2016. The venue has remained in the same location since it opened in 2009, a result of a municipal project intended to provide a modern sports facility for the Lev HaMoshava neighbourhood. It is a place built for function, not spectacle, where the focus remains on the game being played inside rather than the architecture outside.
