Lidl Arena
What stands at Feldstrasse 40 today is not the ground that opened there in 1963. The old Stadion Bergholz was pulled down entirely in 2012 and rebuilt on the same site as the Sportpark Bergholz. FC Wil 1900 played their first home match in the finished arena on 4 August 2013.
The rebuild was a joint undertaking between the town of Wil and FC Wil 1900 AG, and the town remains the owner. The complex cost roughly 57.5 million Swiss francs by the club's own accounting; of that, about 11 million went on the pitch and the stands themselves, with the club contributing around 2 million francs of its own money.
The name has moved with the sponsors. In November 2013, with the new build open, it became the IGP Arena after IGP Pulvertechnik; that arrangement ran to the end of 2019. For three seasons afterwards the arena went without a naming partner at all, until Lidl took the rights in 2022.
American football has taken to it: the Helvetic Guards, based in Zurich, played their home fixtures here through the 2023 season, and the Helvetic Mercenaries have used the ground as their home in the ELF since 2025.
