Colwyn Bay F.C. broke ground on a stretch of farmland belonging to the Parciau estate and put up Llanelian Road instead, opening it on 1 September 1984. The move cost the club its old home but gave it a ground of its own on the edge of Old Colwyn.

The club has played there ever since in the Cymru North.

Little about the place asks for embellishment. It holds 3,000, the pitch is natural grass, and the address is simply the road it sits on — Llanelian Road, Old Colwyn, Conwy. What marks it out is less the stadium itself than the reason it exists at all: a motorway that took one ground and left a farm field to replace it.
