Lokotrans Arena
Mladá Boleslav, Czechia
Formerly: Ústřední stadion, Městský stadion Mladá Boleslav, Adidas aréna
FK Mladá Boleslav has made this patchwork of eras its own, and the contrast between the older, solid brick and the newer, lighter steel gives the ground a character you will not find in the purpose-built arenas nearby.
A major redevelopment between 2002 and 2003 brought the three new stands that define the view today. The entrance, marked by the club's blue and white colours, leads into a car park that fills quickly on match days. The press box sits above the main gate, overlooking a pitch that has seen national team friendlies and local derbies alike. It is not a landmark for visitors, but for those who know the town it is the place where the game is played.
The stadium has hosted matches during the UEFA European Under-19 Championship and the Czech Cup finals, but its daily life is simpler. It has also served as a temporary home for FC Hradec Králové while their own ground was being worked on.
