Loro Borici Stadium
Formerly: Vojo Kushi Stadium
The Loro Boriçi Stadium in Shkodër is defined by its stands.
The venue carries a heavy past. It was built between 1950 and 1952, originally called Vojo Kushi Stadium after a partisan hero. That name stuck through the communist era until 1990, when it was renamed for Loro Boriçi, a coach who played for Vllaznia and SS Lazio. The architecture reflects that long history, but the interior changed drastically during a reconstruction by the German firm Bolles+Wilson between 2015 and 2016. They stripped out the old seating and installed a modern all-seater configuration.
Matches here can feel intense. It hosted a high-stakes clash between Albania and Russia in 2003, where the crowd reached 16,000. The grass is natural.
