The hall sits in the Vilijampolė district near a veterinary academy building, and the basketball court inside is where the local teams gather. Granitas-Karys and Kauno Žalgiris have used the space for handball since before the recent rebuild, while Kauno Aistės-LSMU runs through drills for their league matches on the parquet floor. The university owns the site and opened the freshened-up centre in November 2024, though the courts had already seen action for a 3x3 tournament in the autumn of 2022.

There is no grand entrance or waiting room visible from the outside; a red barrier arm controls access to the car park beside the main entrance, which sits under a white overhang. A large metal relief of a figure with wings is mounted on the side of the building, weathered by the Lithuanian winters. A tall pine tree stands between the sports hall and the older academy block, and a statue of a rearing horse guards the path to the second building. The windows are simple rectangles, some with curtains drawn, letting in the daylight for the daily sessions.

The arena does not host the biggest names in Lithuanian sport — BC Wolves and BC Neptūnas play elsewhere — and there are no records of massive attendance figures or international finals being played here. It is a working ground for the regional leagues and the university's own students, a place where the high line was picked apart in practice and the players watched the weathered storm outside.
