Lynn Family Stadium
Louisville, United States
The club spent five seasons at Louisville Slugger Field, a baseball park borrowed for football, before Lynn Family Stadium gave the city its first purpose-built home for the sport, completed in March 2020. The pandemic pushed the opening match, against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, into the summer.
Capacity is 15,304, and the record crowd came on 13 August 2022, when 14,673 saw Louisville City beat Tampa Bay Rowdies 1-0.
Funding followed what the club calls a "P4" model rather than a standard public-private split: a $5 million gift from Dr Mark and Cindy Lynn, the Louisville ophthalmologist and Visionworks founder and his wife, sat alongside contributions from club owners Soccer Holdings LLC, a $30 million commitment from the city for land and infrastructure, and $21.7 million in state tax-increment financing spread over twenty years for the surrounding district. The Lynns had already put their name on the University of Louisville's football stadium in 2014; the naming rights here run for ten years.
The ground has carried two senior tenants from the start — Louisville City FC in USL Championship since 2020, and Racing Louisville FC, who joined the NWSL and moved in for their 2021 debut season. The United Football League's Louisville Kings are set to become a third occupant from 2026.
