Lyseng Stadion
The clubhouse at Lyseng was not built for Lyseng. It began as a pavilion designed by architect Ali Rasmussen for Moesgaard Strand, then came apart, moved inland and was put back together at the new ground by carpenter P. Hedegaard.
Football arrived later than the site did. Skåde Boldklub and Kragelund Idrætsforening merged first; the club that resulted, IF Lyseng , took over the ground in 1975 and has stayed.
The name has moved with the money. What locals still call Lyseng Idrætspark spent a period as Lyseng Fodbold Center and now carries AURA Park , after the energy company that sponsors it. The pitch beneath all this is artificial — kunstgræs, in the Danish that the club uses.
Nothing much of national consequence has been decided here. The one competitive fixture worth pulling out is a first-round tie in the DBU Pokalen on 11 August 2015, when Lyseng beat Viby IF 2–0 on their own turf. Aarhus Fremad turn up now and again for friendlies and cup matches, but their home is Riisvangen Stadion; at Lyseng they are visitors.
